ARDEX K 15 Base Mix used to prepare the base for tiling

Blanchardstown Shopping Centre attracts people from all around the country and is a buzzing and vibrant centre with excellent features. ARDEX provided ARDEX K 15 base mix to give that professional durable base. This was in the newly developed Red Mall of the shopping centre. This is one of the busiest entries to the centre therefore flooring durability and quality was essential. ARDEX provided the perfect basis for tiling.

ARDEX K 15 is a sophisticated self-levelling sub-floor smoothing compound, can be applied to any thickness by trowel or pump. Even thick applications will be ready to receive floorcoverings within 24 hours at 20°C. Rapid hardening and walkable in approximately 2 hours with rapid drying capabilities and receives floorcoverings within 24 hours regardless of thickness. It is also Suitable for floors with underfloor heating Ideal for use with ARDEX Floorcovering adhesives.

Major Shopping Centre in West Waterford attracting people from the West of Waterford City and East Cork. To further enhance the shopping experience, as well as cementing its place within the local community, the centre houses a crèche and a medical centre. Additionally, the development includes ten overhead apartments, cum night club, restaurant, four screen Cineplex, and car parking facilities for two hundred vehicles with a further three hundred private supermarket car spaces. ARDEX used three products on this project Ardion 51, K15B, and X7G Plus.

ARDEX X7G PLUS is a Grey Flexible Adhesive with Built-In Admix for Floor and Wall Tiling. Specifically formulated to have a very high yield per bag along with enhanced properties of adhesion and flexibility.

Ideal for fixing fully vitrified or porcelain tiles (internal areas only) and other tiles with low porosity as well as glass and porcelain mosaics without the need for an admixture. ARDEX K15B is a pumpable bonded levelling screed with rapid drying which dries within 24 hours at 20°C, even with thick applications. Ceramic floor tiles can be fixed after 4 hours at 20°C. ARDEX K15B can be hand mixed or pump applied.
